Advertising fee

4% plus $2,000 per month

Initial Franchise Fee

This fee is due and typically paid when a franchise agreement is executed, and it is non-refundable. The exact amounts vary but range from $44,500 to $50,000.

Royalty Fee

Charged at 6% of gross receipts. It's a recurring fee typically paid monthly or semi-monthly based on the franchisee's gross sales.

Brand Marketing Fund Fee

This fee is 2% of gross receipts, subject to the right of the franchisor to increase it.

Local Advertising Fee

Set at $2,000 per month, again subject to the right of the franchisor to increase it.

Technology Fee

Currently, $725 per month covers technology-related services such as website or email hosting, help desk support, software or website development, enterprise solutions, etc.

Transfer Fee

In the case of selling or transferring ownership of the salon, the fee is 50% of the current initial franchise fee for new franchises, with some exceptions for smaller ownership interest transfers.

The franchisor provides comprehensive training for its franchisee, which includes:

Initial Training Program

  • Franchisees and their designated managers are required to attend and satisfactorily complete an initial training program. 
  • This program is offered at no charge and may be completed at a certified franchisee training salon, the franchisor's Colorado Support Center, or another designated location. 
  • The training may be provided virtually in whole or in part. The content includes the Operations Manual and other presentation materials. 
  • The training is conducted by experienced personnel with substantial expertise in the subjects taught.

Manager Training Program

  • This program may be offered to franchisees or their designated managers before or after opening the salon. 
  • Attendance is not currently mandatory but may become so in the future. 
  • A fee (currently $500 per day per attendee, plus costs) is applicable for this program.

Annual Conferences & Regional Meetings

  • Franchise owners are required to attend annual franchise owner conferences and may need to attend regional meetings. 
  • Fees may apply for these events, and franchisees are responsible for their own travel and living expenses.

Remedial Training

  • If franchisees or their managers fail to satisfactorily complete the training program, remedial training may be required.
  • This training is provided at a time and location of the franchisor's choice, and a fee is charged for it.

Additional and Special Training

  • The franchisor reserves the right to approve the length and content of all training programs provided to employees by the franchisees. 
  • Mandatory training programs for specific job positions, like waxologists, are included to ensure compliance with System Standards.

On-Site Opening Assistance

  • For new Salons, the franchisor may send a training team for a minimum of five days to assist with employee training and ensure compliance with System Standards.

The franchisor offers limited territory protection. Franchisees are granted a "Protected Area," typically defined as a circular geographic area with a 1.5-mile radius centered at their salon. 

Within this area, the franchisor agrees not to own, operate, or authorize others to own or operate competing salons. 

However, this protection is non-exclusive, meaning the franchisor retains certain rights to establish other businesses, even within the Protected area, under specific conditions.

The franchisor emphasizes the active role of franchisees in the management and operation of their franchises. If the franchise agreement is signed by a legal business entity, the entity must designate an individual with at least a 25% ownership and voting interest to act as the Operating Partner.

This Operating Partner must be approved by the franchisor. The Operating Partner, unless a separate Designated Manager is approved, is required to supervise the Salon on a full-time basis and exert best efforts to promote and enhance the Salon. This implies a hands-on approach to managing the franchise.
