Yes,
Massage Heights
provides
training

Massage Heights provides various training programs to franchisees. Here's an overview of the types of training offered:

Initial Training Program

  • The Initial Training Program is provided for up to four people, including the franchisee (or Managing Owner if the franchisee is an entity), the franchisee’s initial Designated Retreat Director, and the franchisee’s initial Lead Massage Therapist.
  • This program usually takes place at the franchisor's headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, but it may also be held at the franchisee’s location, elsewhere, or through an online platform.
  • The training includes System guidelines, procedures, methods of operation, advertising and sales techniques, promotional ideas, marketing plans, customer relations, quality standards, and practical experience in operating a MH Business.

Additional Training and Support

  • Transfer Training Program: Offered if the MH Business was already open and operating on the Effective Date. This includes online and in-person training courses.
  • Ongoing training sessions: Mandatory for licensees to attend, covering various operational aspects and updates in the system.

Does

Massage Heights

provides

territory

protection?

Massage Heights provides territory protection to franchisees, but it is not exclusive. Franchisees are granted a specific geographic area, typically a 1.5-mile radius around their Retreat.

However, they may still face competition from other franchisees, outlets owned by the franchisor, or other brands controlled by the franchisor. The franchisor reserves the right to operate and license businesses outside the franchisee's designated territory.

Can a

Massage Heights

franchise

be run as

a passive

investment?

The franchisor does not allow for passive investment. The franchise requires active participation in the operation of the MH Business, either by the franchisee directly or by a designated managing owner if the franchisee is an entity. The franchise mandates personal participation in the operation of the MH Business.

This is required either directly by the franchisee or by a designated managing owner if the franchisee is an entity. The franchise agreement specifies the need for a Designated Retreat Director who must be actively involved in the daily operations of the MH Business.
